I never knew what love was. Rage and hatred filled my heart. I dabbled in other religions and witchcraft searching for truth.
But I knew something was missing.
Finding Freedom and a New Life
I am here today standing before you because Jesus hung on the cross for a sinner like me. A few years ago I was going through some hard times. My family was falling apart and I was ready to give up. One day out of desperation I cried out to God “Send someone I can talk to.” Heather Rumery called me that day and said “I don’t know why I am calling you but I feel like I should invite you to my ladies Bible study.” Without hesitation I said yes. She said WOW that was easier then I thought. God showed up. I was at the end of myself and my abilities. I cried out to Him and he showed up. He has worked in my life. He has worked in my husband’s life. He has worked in the lives of our children. My sister, brother in law and husband are being baptized today because he showed up. I will gladly live the rest of my life for my savior Jesus Christ.”
Now I volunteer with Apostolos Campus Ministry and tell other students, "Don't do the things I did. There is hope. I know what you're going through and there is a greater way, through Christ."
